There is a poem that I remember from childhood:

There was a crooked man,

And he walked a crooked mile.

He found a crooked sixpence

Against a crooked stile.

He bought a crooked cat

Which caught a crooked mouse

And they all live together in a little crooked house.

Crooked doesn't mean that all members concerned are corrupt.
A person on a crooked path doesn't mean the person is crooked ...perhaps only lost.

The path of God, by His Word, the Bible, leads us through a history of growth, maturity, and understanding ...straight to Jesus.

It is often said that misery loves company ...yet, we don't have to go to that extreme.  We can all just co-exist with mutuality ...thinking that our mutual benefit is not threatened by our ignorance of it.
